Injury Rehabilitation Personal Trainer in Saltford
Post-physio, post-surgery, or working around chronic pain — structured strength and mobility coaching that moves you forward safely.
Around 40% of the clients I work with come to me specifically for injury rehabilitation. Some have just finished physiotherapy and want to keep the progress going. Some are recovering from surgery and need careful, structured coaching to rebuild strength safely. Others have been living with chronic pain — bad backs, stiff hips, troublesome knees and shoulders — and want to start training properly without making things worse.
Whatever the situation, the approach is the same: understand exactly where you are, build from there, and never load what isn't ready to be loaded.
Who this is for
Injury rehabilitation coaching at Train with Tim is for adults who:
-
Have completed physiotherapy or osteopathy treatment and want supervised strength work to consolidate that progress
-
Are recovering from surgery — hip or knee replacement, rotator cuff repair, spinal procedures — and need progressive, safe coaching back to full strength
-
Are managing a long-term condition such as chronic back pain, sciatica, arthritis or nerve compression and want to train intelligently around it
-
Have been told to "stay active" but have no idea what that means in practice
What happens in a session
Every new client starts with a thorough movement assessment — looking at how your body moves, where it compensates, and what it needs. There are no generic programmes here. What you do in session one is built around your specific history, your specific injury, and your specific goals.
From there, sessions combine progressive strength training, targeted mobility work and movement re-education — always at a pace that challenges you without setting you back. You will always understand what you are doing and why. Education is built into every session.
Sessions take place in a private studio in Saltford. No commercial gym environment, no one watching, no pressure to perform. Just focused, intelligent coaching in a calm space where you can actually make progress.
What clients achieve
Clients who come to me for injury rehabilitation consistently report the same outcomes: less pain, better movement, and a level of strength they didn't expect to reach. One client came to me post-physio with chronic sciatica and spent over a year working together — today she has no lower back pain and is deadlifting over her own bodyweight in her late 40s. Another came to me following shoulder surgery, still playing golf at 62, and is now stronger through the shoulder than he was before the injury.
These results are not unusual. They are what happens when rehabilitation is followed by properly structured strength training with a coach who understands both.
