About Tim — Strength and Weightlifting Coach

Hi, I'm Tim — a strength, mobility and injury rehabilitation coach based at a private studio in Saltford, working with clients across Bristol and Bath.
I specialise in working with adults who want to build real, lasting strength — whether that means recovering from injury, rebuilding confidence in how their body feels and moves, or simply training for the purpose of long term health.
My approach is built around 7 years of coaching experience and what research tells us matters most as we get older: progressive strength training, structured mobility work, and programming that is tailored to your life rather than borrowed from someone else's. Every session is 1-to-1, private, and designed around your goals, your history, and your body.
Around 40% of my clients come to me specifically for injury rehabilitation — often after completing physio or osteopathy treatment and wanting guided, structured training to get them back to full strength. Others come because they are tired of guessing in a commercial gym, or because they want to feel capable and strong in a way they haven't in years.
If any of that sounds familiar, I'd be glad to talk.

From Nervous Beginner to Confident Weightlifter

Tim knows his stuff and he has the knack of seeing what you don't understand and making it visual or clear so that you can learn. In other words he's a natural teacher. He's never pushed me beyond what I could comfortably achieve and his gentle and humorous encouragement has been constant.

Better Mobility, Stronger Lifts and Confidence Under The Bar

I’ve been training on my own for years, but working with Tim has been a game changer. He’s helped me nail my form, showed me the right rep ranges, and taught me how to stretch properly. I’m learning a lot and enjoying the process. My strength and mobility have improved massively after just a couple of months with 2 sessions a week. Tim’s also super knowledgeable and inspiring when it comes to nutrition.

Built Strength, muscle mass and Healthy Habits That Actually Last

Tim is a fantastic coach, have been with a couple of coaches before but Tim is definitely the best for me. I’ve seen improvement in all of my lifts, his expertise and knowledge in how to improve my technique and form has helped so much and it’s helped my understanding of what I need to do to get better. I’ve definitely got stronger, I wanted to do a body building block, it was effective in building muscle, and now going back to powerlifting, I’m feeling much stronger in that too.

Stronger At 60+ — Pain Free Training

I'd never weightlifted before, and as an over-60, 5'1" 56kg woman I didn't see what I had in common with all those big guys in the gym. Now I do! Strength training is a mindful mental exercise as well as a physical one, and the fact that I am now stronger than I have ever been in my life - and can deadlift numbers higher than my bodyweight or age in multiple reps - is amazing to me. Back and leg strength has fixed previous occasional lower-back pain / foot balance issues.
